We started the day at Kailua Beach Park waiting for our ride. I took the opportunity to check out the beach and the adjacent club house of Kailua Canoe Club. Here I can see enough canoes for at least five clubs back home in Oz. There are 20+ six man canoes in the club. The training ones are kept outside, and the race ones are secured inside the house.
Paddle sessions generally goes for an hour sharp. This is because there are many groups to go through each day, and the next group is generally all on the beach and good to go when the earlier group returns.
20+ waka? Thats crazy, did you ask if we could borrow a couple, well maybe 5???
