Ala moana center

It’s a huge outdoorsy feel mall. Full stop. It’s probably not quite my idea of Hawaii shopping, but I think they tried to create an island paradise-feeling for shoppers. It also contains stores to fit every budget and taste. You have Sears (like a Best and Less or Kmart-ish place) and Neiman Marcus (like David Jones), your Old Navy, Gap versus Chanel, Hermes and other high end European labels, and heaps of shops in between this range and nicely scattered along the shopping spectrum.
What I loved most is there is a strip in the mall that sells only surf clothes such as Rip Curl and Billabongs. You won’t find anything outriggers related here, but, I did find a model of one off the ceiling in the men's section at Macy's.
The mall pretty much has everything you need to stock up on while you are in the States. I stocked up on Vibrams at Champs (half the price Aussie charges), and some fancy shampoo at Avedas (40% cheaper, ok?? :p). I also visited Sephora, Neiman Marcus and Nordstorm for a last minute cosmetic dash. It is also 40% off retail of Australian prices. Yes darling - two of everything please!
