I knew it. Ugh. I should not have been trying to speed up that quickly. 4 weeks into my HK journey I managed to grossly inflammed my right calf and the achille's tendon. So I am in a lot of pain when I engage in any activities involving my right leg.
I was so close to be back at 4min k pace when all this happened.
Maybe I was doing too much. Remembering that I have a kazillion interests outside running...
So, after my doctor gave me an ultimatium, this week I have stopped the gym and any running (well i cant even if i want to)...and focus on stretching and sleeping. Like a ferret... But absolutely no running. I might try to lose a few pounds in the meantime to lighten the load on my legs when I run.
sigh......hello restlessness. I plan to do some paddling so i get some cardio in the mean time.
